  Mission Statement

Mission of Cross Street Intermediate School

Cross Street Intermediate School is a community in which all students can learn, achieve and succeed. By providing an environment rich in social, emotional and academic experiences, we believe that all students will aspire to become lifelong learners. At Cross Street, we promote each child’s success and happiness through a rigorous academic program relevant to students’ lives; the modeling of respect and positive social relationships; as well as the opportunity to explore interests through a variety of offerings. Our faculty and staff are dedicated to the nurturing and engaging culture we have created at our school.

  About The School

Cross Street School

For decades Cross Street School was an elementary school serving children in grades k-5 . In the year 2002 the district reconfigured and Cross Street was transformed into an intermediate school serving students in grades 5 and 6 . Students at Cross Street are assigned to teams of teachers and will switch classes for mathematics, language arts, content area studies, and a wide array of specials. Specials at Cross Street include library media studies, art education, music education, and physical education.

In addition, to academics and special classes students are exposed to enrichment activities such as chorus, band, extra physical education, and extra art education.
